BUDI (BUDIMAN), 25 – slightly geeky, introverted, average looking, boy-next-door attractive kind of guy. Girls see him as more “best friend” rather than “boyfriend” material and he has never been lucky in love.

Budi has a hidden talent as a comic strip artist. However, he is very private about his drawings as he sees them as the only outlet for his deepest emotions, and so he does not show them to anyone other than anonymously on the web.

Budi was classmates with (and has had a crush on) Nina all through primary and secondary school, after which Nina left to further her studies abroad. It was at this time that Budi lost touch with her, after sending her a letter confessing his feelings and never receiving a reply.

At university, Budi met and became friends with Kid, a daredevil playboy who barely scraped his way through uni. Budi has always envied Kid’s charm and confidence, but has never felt threatened by him – that is, until Nina reappears in his life.

KID (KHAIRUDDIN), 25 – gets all the girls, has contacts for anything at the palm of his hands. He was classmates with Budi at university.

After graduating with third-class honours in Mass Communications, Kid started working in commercials/TV/film production. With his charm and a bit of luck, it doesn’t take long for him to work his way up to his position now as production manager.

Often perceived as cocky, Kid has luck and hard-work to keep him afloat but not the drive to truly succeed. But enjoys the thrills and perks of his jobs. Life is sports, cars and girls, not always in that order.

Kid is a slob at home, the typical nightmare housemate. Staying with Budi is a good arrangement because he knows Budi will clean and pick-up after him.

NINA KOH, 25 – gorgeous girl who reappears on the KL scene after having lived abroad since after SPM. Until she was 18, Nina was a rather sheltered girl. Very different from the unique, opinionated, world-wise young woman that she is now. Nina’s true relationship status remains a mystery, as she seems reluctant to discuss her long-term fiancé, who is still in Melbourne where she was living before now.

Nina comes from an upper-middle class family but does not get along with her father, especially since the sudden death of her mother when she was a child. To escape his controlling personality, she tries to be as independent as she can, but she still comes head to head with him from time to time.
